39006 2002-03-13 18:20:00 Just thought that I would let you know there is hope after all. I live approx 6 Kms from the nearest telephone exchange and I am consistently connecting to jetstream at 2.8Mbps (tested on the telecom/jetstream test page). The performance is superb, now all we have to hope for is a more reasonable $$$$ or increase in download limit. Guest (0)

39008 2002-03-13 20:44:00 Good luck in getting a better deal from Telecom on Jetstream. I've had a go at them with regard to their pricing plans and got no where. Guest (0)
39009 2002-03-14 02:22:00 Without a doubt they are grossly overpriced... I have an Uncle in the US who is on Cable for US$10 per month with no data caps, and he's never been cut off...

Likewise in Europe and Asia. DSL is free in Taiwan. Not sure about prices on cable, but it's got to be pretty damn low...

It's a bit of a disgrace really. Most U.S. PC Retailers wouldn't even know what a dial-up modem is!

39010 2002-03-14 06:42:00 I wonder if our population size has something to do with the prices. Perhaps we could allow more people to live here. Oh No we don't want that! But then again we don't want the high prices either. What are we to do? Suck a lemon I guess. Guest (0)
