I live approx 6 Kms from the nearest telephone exchange and I am consistently connecting to jetstream at 2.8Mbps (tested on the telecom/jetstream test page). The performance is superb, now all we have to hope for is a more reasonable $$$$ or increase in download limit. | Guest (0) | ||

| 39009 | 2002-03-14 02:22:00 | Without a doubt they are grossly overpriced... I have an Uncle in the US who is on Cable for US$10 per month with no data caps, and he's never been cut off... Likewise in Europe and Asia. DSL is free in Taiwan. Not sure about prices on cable, but it's got to be pretty damn low... It's a bit of a disgrace really. Most U.S. PC Retailers wouldn't even know what a dial-up modem is! :( Erin |
