When you send an E-mail using a manual send/receive, norton pops up a message saying it is sending the e-mail. Sometimes it will give a message saying it could not scan the outgoing e-mail. This seems to happen because outlook logs off to soon. But if you look in your sent folder it appears the e-mail has been sent. It has in fact not. I dont know if it's Win Xp and outlook along with norton, maybe somebody else has the answer. But I have found the best way to avoid it is to go into tools/options/mail setup and uncheck 'Hang up when finished with manual Send/Recieve' | Guest (0)

I think the better way to overcome it is to turn off virus scanning on outgoing mail. If your incoming virus checker is working properly, and you make regular scans, you shouldn't have a problem with sending emails. | Guest (0)
