| 39451 | 2002-03-16 21:08:00 | Im interested to see what others have experianced having a Video Conversation on MSN over a 56K modem. My friend in Europe has broadband Im on 56K. Will the Picture Quality be something like you see on Encatra video clips, or worse, slow & Jerky. Voice Conversations on MSN are great, you need to say over at the end, true duplex it isint, but still very good, beats Toll charges. You can Voice with MSN on Win98 - Win95? but not Video unless you have XP. Cheers......John. |

| 39452 | 2002-03-17 12:46:00 | Conversations over a 56k modem will usually work well, but a video conference type setup will function very poorly I think. If we guess that Encarta videos are 15-30 frames per second, over a 56k modem you'd be looking at, at best, 1-3 frames per second. So yes, your video clips will most likely be slow and jerky, at best. |
