39400 2002-03-16 07:39:00 I don't think one is better than the other. What are you going to be using it for.

I would be inclined to go with a MP3 compatible discman with a large antishock function.

39401 2002-03-16 08:19:00 i would go w MD since no pc is required when u record. MPS/CD are big ... on the go u would like something not just portable but super portable. MDLP does long play and record like over 5hrs and long battery life ..30hr record and 60hr playback.

MP3 is a bit geekish isn't it from a user's perspective.

39402 2002-03-16 11:30:00 MP3 player's aren't actually that big, just CD players that can play MP3s are. Most MP3 players you can download straight off your computer onto the player, so would probably work out easier, quicker, and cheaper than a MD player, as for the MD player you need the disks. 39403 2002-03-16 19:53:00 I have an MP3 player that uses smartmedia cards, it works pretty well.
The other alternative is the hard disk based things. They are slightly bigger but you never run out of music.
I wouldn't bother with CD, minidisc maybe but you need to be able to record on them. If you have a PC, then MP3 is the way to go.
