| 39761 | 2002-03-19 08:52:00 | Is it possible to restore files backed up using the Windows 95 Backup utility onto a comp running Windows ME? I can't find a Backup Utility on Windows ME. Thanks in advance. Lynne |

To install it you need your ME installation disk or recovery disk. The following instructions are from the book 'The Complete Idiot's guide to Microsoft Windows ME'. 1. Insert the Windows Millennium CD. 2. Using My Computer, right click on the D drive and choose explore. Open the 'Add-ons' folder and the 'MSbackup' folder. 3. Launch the file named 'msbexp'. Windows will then start installing various files. When it's done, it throws up a dialog box to let you know. 4. Click OK. Restart computer. You will then find the program under Programs/Accessories/System Tools. |
