39812 2002-03-20 00:15:00 Since purchasing Nortons Systemworks, I regularly use Speed disk. Previously I would use windows defrag. Just curious but....is there any views out there which is better and if they supposedly do the same job, why is it (as an experiment) that I can run one after the other and the second run (defrag) appears to be moving blocks around as if it was never done by Speed disk. 39813 2002-03-20 01:27:00 Because they both have their own way of organising a disk when defragging. For example, on might put the swap file first, another may put the system files first.

I use 2002 my self and find it very fast and effective , pays to set your virtual memory swap files to a certain size as this helps to optimise the hard drive
