AMD has presented its future 0.13-micron processors for Socket A systems, based on Thoroughbred core at CeBit. they were showing off Athlon XP (Thoroughbred) samples with 2800+ speed ratings. The new processor will come out in mobile form at the end of March, prior to the desktop release, as was the case. The desktop processor will appear around June and will work at 266 MHz bus frequency and will have a 256-Kb L2-cache allowing the new 0.13-micron Athlon XP to be fully compatible with the older motherboards. AMD reports that the first Athlon XP (Thoroughbred) will have a 2400+ rating, with two slower Thoroughbred models with 2200+ and 2000+ ratings released later.

The PowerDVD XP 4.0 1329b patch released a few days ago has been re-released with a couple of minor fixes, which are as yet unknown. The re-release version is available for download here. <www.gocyberlink.com

ATI have also released WDM capture drivers for the following cards:

Iomega has released a new version (3.1.1) of the IomegaWare drivers for Iomega Zip, Jaz, PocketZip, HipZip, FotoShow and Peerless drives. The software is for Win9x/ME/NT/2000/XP and contains fixes for Windows XP bugs and updates the engine of the ActiveDisk utility. DVD Decrypter 3.0.0.14 is out. If you're into DVD's and DVD ripping, this is what it does and what is changed in this release:
DVD Decrypter contains UDF parsing and lets you copy DVD content to your harddrive. This new version has improved multiangle processing allowing you to select which angle to keep (in the settings screen), brute force CSS cracking for people with RPC-2 drives wanting to rip a disc of a different region, adds a 'check for update' function, the drive detection routines have been partly rewritten, ISO mode can now split files at 4GB when writing on a FAT partition and there are some minor GUI chagnes and some bugfixes.
