| 40010 | 2002-03-21 08:14:00 | My PC has a Win95 OS. Recently the HD was formatted. Since the PC was returned from the workshop, its sound is nil! No music is heard but the connecting port makes that kiri kiri noise when the plug is pulled out and pushed in. I don't have a separate sound card I believe. I had only two cards one Video and the other Modem. It is from the modemI believe, the sound was coming. This is what I saw when I opened it. Has anyone got any clue to let it go! Chers Mukesh |

Do you still have a speaker plug in the back (did it come back from the workshop)? Are you plugged into it(the right one)? Is the volume turned up? Maybe you need to 'add new hardware' in the control panel? Hope this helps. |

I suspect you may have your speakers (or headphones) plugged into the output from the modem rather than the output from an onboard sound card. Cheers, Alan Carpenter |
