| 40208 | 2002-03-23 09:10:00 | Saturday 23 Mar 2002 08:10:32 For Windows 98 SE computer. Can someone help. I have a PDF file that I want to copy some text and a picture from but only have Adobe Acrobat Reader. Althrough a friend I have access to Adobe Pagemaker 6.5. Can anyone point me in the direction of a freeware file (and URL) that will allow me to copy from a PDF file to another application eg Microsoft Word. I only want to go one way, I do not want to 'edit' the original. Thanks. |

Change the cursor to the 'text selection tool' (button with a capital T and a dotted square) and drag across the text you want, then cut and paste to Word. For a picture, use the 'graphics select' tool and drag a square that encloses the object, then cut and paste. However, if you want to copy then edit text inside a table or something, I think you will be out of luck. Even if you had the full Acrobat product, the document would probably be protected from editing, for obvious reasons. Cheers John |
