| 40324 | 2002-03-24 13:15:00 | I have recentlyre-installed my (Win98) machine from scratch, and now have this iritating problem with my sound card. It works fine, until I do anything that makes a sound, at which point, all I get is a rapidly repeating sound, much like a stuck CD... I have tracked down the most up to date drivers for my ES1938 sound card, pulled it out, re-installed it, changed it from one slot to another, but still nothing will stop this infernal noise...! Someone please help me before I cover it in lighter fluid and have a sacrificial burning...!! Many Thanks |
