| 1294127 | 2012-08-12 00:56:00 | Friend has 'Sofware Updater' and 'Registry Helper' popups. These look like SafeApp nasties. Found a site where someone tried to uninstall Registry Helper and it trashed her disk. Very concerning. Anyone experienced these? |

| 1294129 | 2012-08-12 02:52:00 | Thanks, Speedy. MSE picked up nothing - Grrrr. MBAM picked out Registry Helper and removed it but didn't pick out Computer Updater. I uninstalled Comp Updater via ctrl panel so we will have to wait and see whether they raise their ugly heads again. Cheers. |

| 1294131 | 2012-08-12 12:23:00 | Thanks for the offer but the machine is in Levin, 40 min away. I suspect it has a dvr issue as well as there have been a couple of stop 0a's so a dump analysis may be required at some stage. Cheers. |
