1293749 2012-08-09 23:15:00 Just been looking up prices on this as want to rebuild my server in a month or so's time and all I can see are 64bit versions. Is it no longer available in 32bit as I would want to install it on my current P4 based server hardware gary67 (56)
1293750 2012-08-09 23:40:00 Windows Home Server 2011 has been 64-bit only since it launched. You'd have to get a copy of the previous version, WHS 6.0 if you really want to use it. Bear in mind mainstream support for that ends in January... inphinity (7274)
1293751 2012-08-09 23:42:00 bummer. using Amahi at the moment but not as good as I hoped it would be, guess will have to save a bit longer then gary67 (56)
1293752 2012-08-09 23:42:00 If it's a "recent" Pentium 4 it may be 64-bit anyway, I know my one is. pcuser42 (130)

Prescott2 and Cedar Mill P4s should support x64 instruction set.

1293754 2012-08-10 01:08:00 Easiest way to check is with CPU-z - if it supports the EM64T instruction set, it's 64-bit. pcuser42 (130)
1293755 2012-08-10 02:55:00 Since it doesn't currenlty have a desktop OS on it I can't check it that way and its also packed up for the big move south as is my main desktop that has the info I need stored on it.

Mainly was just wanting to know if 32bit was a gone burger for home server, now I know it is have to do some thinking as to do a rebuild I need to replace the HDD's as well with more storage. Might be looking at a complete rebuild and make it a RAID as well, which I know it can't do on the current mobo
