| 1293728 | 2012-08-09 22:05:00 | HI I have several virtual centos servers running and occasionally vnc in to the gui to do work on them the problem is every time i start the vnc service and log in there is heaps of terminal windows open that will not close (up to 15 now) I have used google and there is heaps of answers say in to edit the xstartup script and comment out the line ( while true ; do xterm ; done ) & which fixes their problem but not mine Once i comment out the line the vnc servers cannot be logged in to Also i have the same problem on a stand alone server so it is not the virtual system Linux gurus help please |

| 1293730 | 2012-08-10 03:00:00 | I do use ssh but i cannot type very fast so to move files i use the gui I have slapped myself but it hurt....still having problems ;) |

| 1293731 | 2012-08-10 03:22:00 | Try replacing that line with: openbox Or something to that effect. Make sure obviously that Openbox is installed, then you can use it as a window manager to right-click on the desktop and use the menu to launch new terminals amongst other things.... |
