The quake struck off the west coast of northern Sumatra. The USGS says the quake was centred 33 kilometres beneath the ocean floor around 495km from Aceh's provincial capital A tsunami watch is currently in place across the Indian Ocean region. 3 News Lucky it was 33km deep, still a biggy. |
