1269780 2012-05-07 13:39:00 Read the biography, Steve Jobs?

It's funny coz about 1/4 the way through they talk about how they basically took the idea of the GUI from Xerox. It was acceptable because Xerox supposedly didn't know what they had, and Apple were the underdog fighting the giant monolithic corporation.

Fast forward to the last quarter of the book, Apple is now the big monolithic corporation, and they're pissed because supposedly Android is doing the same thing that they did and making a phone?

Rose coloured glasses much? ;)

Still, an excellent book and well worth the read! I found it a fascinating insight!!

1269781 2012-05-07 19:29:00 Why does everyone go on about the law suits? Having company A vs company B does not affect how my device that I bought operate. I don't really care whether apple stole from samsung or vice versa. The only thing I care about is if it works how I want. It might affect the cost of future devices, it might affect how future devices operates but does that realistically affect me. Nope. I will buy whatever is on the shelf that suits my needs and budget. At the moment it is IOS, I have bought 3 android devices which have been relegated to my kids except the Galaxy 2, my wife has that. I am back on the iphone. sam m (517)
1269782 2012-05-07 21:15:00 Basically coz the Apple camp use it as a reason why they could never love anything else, and the non-Apple world like to use it as a rebuttal against them. Chilling_Silence (9)
1269783 2012-05-07 21:58:00 OK ill bite to the silly trollness. IIRC Windows Mobile 6 never required tethering to a computer, neither did any of my previous Symbian phones. Guess everyone stole from Nokia and MS then. Alex B (15479)
