Lurking. You should have had cardboard spouting then :p

Back on track - I heard the church is also going to be made of concrete, steel and wood, so not sure how much of it will be cardboard.

Now the church want ratepayers to provide the annual upkeep of it which is going to cost around $240,000. Like Hell !! I say to the church that if you cant maintain it, then you cant build it, with a massive rates hike in Chch this year as it is, who wants to pay for that as well. Let those who use it pay for it.

1270386 2012-04-18 04:15:00 Chch and the close vicinity shops would benefit from tourism as well ..... and this probably the landmark of Chch and Chch gets more tourists than Wellington or even Auckland (internationals that is). When we travelled to the South Island, always did a stop in Chch and saw the Cathedral and it wasn't just on service days and spent time around that area buying lunch etc ... Nomad (952)

Not a bad idea, probably work like that beardy stuff they use to catch leaves.

What about 10 metre timber poles and tongue and grove flooring, Joe Bennetts idea of wood usage.

W T F Ian !!!!, we have paid rates for Dave Henderson's properties $18,000,000 RWC $30,000,000 the new league/stadium $15,000,000.

What the h e l l are all the people moaning about.

Blackadder wants $115,000,000 for a covered stand, h e l l be like a man and get some balls, in the 1950's we all had to "stand in the bl**dy rain". A bycycle tube down the trousers for a comfy call.

Lurking.

Ps. heard today, that Westies are getting $115.00 a roll for wall-paper and Easties are getting $20.00.

KD, a Westie/Wealthy wouldn't be putting up $20.00 wall-paper in the normal course of events would they, stands to reason.

But, their EQ levy would still be the same flat rate as the Easties' tho; and which we will all pay for in increased levies.

So the b i t c h would be genuine eh, lol.

At least it will be used, GOD willing, unlike the $30,000,000 CCC spent on the AMI Stadium RWCup event, GOD intervened perhaps.
