| 1293385 | 2012-08-07 11:11:00 | Check your BIOS battery for a start. Some motherboards play havoc when it goes flat. 2004 was a while ago! Try disconnecting all hard drives, CD drives etc and removing all non-critical expansion cards and any other non-critical devices. It could be one of them has failed and is bringing the whole system down. |

I fried a few motherboards and when they are dead they all display the same symptoms..otherwise could be RAM. sorry I can't help too much. |
