Now it feels and looks heavy and ugly . WP7 is a nice mix of what was iOS's simplicity andorids customization with a fresh coat of M$'s own design . I'd recommend anyone new to smartphones to get a WP, the hardware/layout requirements make them easier to pick than android . ICS is a whole new story . Those who had bad android experiences really should pick up a decent ICS droid and have a play . Pretend it's a whole new phone, not a droid . You won't regret it . Previous android versions had their bugs but ICS is gorgeous and so much better than before . I quite like WP7 and ICS . If I was buying a device i'd consider both . Until iOS gets a major design overhaul i'm not going near . On a side note, the SGSII and nexus feel so much better than the iPhone 4/4S . The iPhone's just seem so bulky and small compared to them . Not sure if that's just me though . |

Maybe is cos the defy runs android 2.2 ? Possibly, you also have to remember that it's up to the developers of the hardware (HTC) to make the ROM so if they wrote it badly then you will get the freezes. What apps cause the freeze? Probably not the BEST ROM out out there (i'd have a good look for a stable ICS/Gingerbread ROM) but there are people working on ICS for it. You could put this ROM on forum.xda-developers.com but it seems a little buggy atm. |

| 1269755 | 2012-04-14 02:16:00 | MIUI uses CM7 / CM9 (Where applicable for ICS) as its base. They use a new "nightly" build every couple of weeks. The Defy also has a slower CPU compared with the iPhone, especially the 4S. Keep in mind that the iPhone 4S costs a little over double what a Defy will go for though, so in some respects you're always going to be limited by the hardware. Still, give MIUI a whirl on the Defy and see how you go :) |
