40396 2002-03-25 09:06:00 Hi,is there anybody that can help. After a long session on the net, sometimes i have a problem shutting down my computer which is running Windows 98SE,i run scandisk on a regular basis and also defrag on a regular basis.I have even downloaded and installed the Microsoft fix patch for this problem, all to no avail. This problem is driving me up the wall. I believe it is a common fault with 98SE. Guest (0)
40397 2002-03-25 11:01:00 You would be hard pressed to find anyone who doesn't/didn't have this problem with Win98SE.

Do a search for shutdown problems and you should find a few solutions.

This may fix your problem.

40399 2002-03-26 10:51:00 I have been running Win98SE for two years now, [PC Company computer] and have not once had any shutdown problems. Have installed all updates. My average Internet time would probably be about 1 hour a day, computer running maybe 12 hours a day. Guest (0)
