40806 2002-03-28 23:57:00 I was just wondering if there is a way to password protect my folders. Guest (0)
40807 2002-03-29 02:37:00 There are various options from the free to the paid.

PGP is free and can be used to encrypt folder and has the benefit can be used for email.
Winzip can be used employing its password function.
Foldergaurd is available but you pay for that.
Scramdisk creates a virtual drive for the stuff you want to keep private and is password protected and has 128 blowfish encryption, etc and is free (or was)
There are other programs out there but using the ones above, I would suggest winzip for simple and ease of use, PGP if you want to very good free encryption or Scramdisk if you want to create a virtual encrytion protected drive.
