40778	2002-03-28 19:41:00	When I attempt to defrag i gets to 2% and then goes back to 0.I have set the screensaver for 30 minutes,so it is not the restarting after clearing the screensaver. Thanx	Guest (0)

40780	2002-03-28 22:01:00	Reboot into safe mode and run both your scandisk and defrag from there. To get into Safe Mode restart and as the computer starts to boot up, start clicking the F8 key (exact key may vary between systems but F8 is the common one), you will be offered several options, select Start in Safe Mode. Upon finishing the scandisk and defrag restart back into normal windows	Guest (0)
40781	2002-03-29 10:46:00	although defrag in safe mode will temp fix the problem, it can also be done by shutting down a few programs. From CTL ALT DEL close everything except systray and explorer. Also turn off screensaver. Also win95 defrag doesn't like Mcaffee a/v, so if you have that, disable it for duration of defrag.	Guest (0)
