40736	2002-03-28 05:30:00	i iam having lucent win modem my modem works in every operating system except windows 98 although .i got my computer, it came with windows 98 with lusent win modem install and working fine but for some reason i formatted my disk so i tried it installing agian but then it dosent work , i keep on getting a error message when i dial ' please see if your modem is connected to your phone line' although my phone line is working fine . 40737	2002-03-28 22:11:00	Check the modem, it is likely to be a setting in regards to your modem. Go into your control panel and click on Modems and check all the settings including the tab Dialing Properties. Make sure you have set the country to NZ and you are not using pulse instead of tone, make sure you are using the right number to dial up the isp, some isp's do not require you to use a area code, etc. If all else fails, uninstall the modem and reboot and then reinstall. 40738	2002-03-28 22:59:00	Try uninstalling(remove) and reinstalling with different settings, you'll get it eventually. Try searching for the correct driver. OPen up case have a look for telepermit on modem, which will have its model number on it. Hope that helps. Try driversguide.com	Guest (0)
