40872 2002-03-29 12:53:00 Okay..somehow I must have hit a wrong shortcut button when i was typing, I think. With multiple windows open I could previously click on the Full Screen button on the bar at the top and it would enlarge the page and the page would cover the bottom bar that has the date and links etc and shows what other windows are open. Now when I click on Full Screen the top bars that start 'File Edit View' etc and 'Back Forward Stop' etc do disappear... BUT the bottom bar with open window links still sits there. I use Windows 98, and IE5.5, i think. Can anyone help please? Guest (0)
40873 2002-03-29 23:53:00 Hi Carol,

Sounds to me like you're referring to the Task Bar at the bottom of your screen (the one with the start button on it). Did you used to have it set to 'Auto Hide?' Mine occasionally just resets itself to always show... maybe this is what's happened.

Try right-clicking in an empty area of the task bar, selecting 'Properties' and ticking the 'Auto Hide' checkbox.

Hope this helps... :o)
