| 40931 | 2002-03-31 02:47:00 | i have just rebuilt an old 486 for a freind, It runs on win 95. I tried to install the latest IE. The installation failed (of course). Opera which is on the CD in the latest internet mag installed without problem and worked fine, however watching a flash animation on it was painfull as it loaded and ran frame by frame. It does seem the best option, given that the version of IE that came with win '95 didn't support flash or much else for that matter, where as opera works as well as the machine will let it. |
