| 40917 | 2002-03-30 00:54:00 | I woke this morning to find my PC had restarted during the night. I had left it downloading from an FTP site (the monitor was switched off). I run XP Pro, 1600+ XP CPU, GeForce2 64MB video... btw. After logging on I was told my PC had restarted and had recovered from a serious error that was probably caused by my video card. It recommended checking for a new driver and mentioned something about it's ability to page? (woops, should've wrote that down). The Event Viewer log tells me this: The driver nv4_disp for the display device \Device\Video0 got stuck in an infinite loop. This usually indicates a problem with the device itself or with the device driver programming the hardware incorrectly. Please check with your hardware device vendor for any driver updates. |
