I have had WinXP on a newish computer crash irretreivably 3 times now. The retailer reformatted the hard drive the first two, and reinstalled Windows the third time. They advised me that My Documents was saved this last time, but I cannot get into the folder where all docs were stored. I password my login id as others use this computer. I presume that a new login id was created upon reinstallation. Is there a way to get into this folder? |

If you log on with Admin priviledges, you can go into any folder. I would be more concerned with the three 'totals' you have had; if its a 'newish' computer, you should be returning it for a total replacement. |

How do you log on as the Administrator? I log on under my name which supposedly has Admin privledges but cannot get in... |
