41380 2002-04-02 03:57:00 Problem #2: Windows Media Player 7.1: No cd track info displayed

I have used Cool Edit 2000 to convert my first vinyl oldie to a CD. Neat program! I also gave each track a name (and, yes, I did check [ ] Save extra audio information.)

BUT when Windows Media Player plays that CD, while it plays just fine no CD title or track titles appear at all.

(I did the whole CD again to make sure. Same absence of data.)

What am I not doing?

41381 2002-04-02 04:03:00 I gather you burnt it as an audio CD? Did you remember to burn with CD-Text?

41382 2002-04-02 04:33:00 Thanks JM: As a newbie to CD-writing I am not sure what you are telling me,bless you.

I cut the disks with Easy CD Creator 4.0. I have just been back into it and by clicking on a track and then on Properties I find that the .cl4 file saved the CD title, artist (Tolkien himself speaking)and the track name.

Yes, I was indeed writing an Audio cd. (I surely wasn't meant to write a *data* CD was I?)
Where is this command 'to burn with CD text'? The help files for Easy CD Creator don't spring that one to me.
