| 41344 | 2002-04-01 23:16:00 | i have a (crap) Conexant SoftK56 Data,Fax,RTAD PCI Mode modem, in a PIII 533 running win98. for some reason unknown to me, it takes a full 3 minutes or so to log on. it handshakes, goes quiet & does the 'verifying name and password' think, the 'logging on to network' thing, then takes another two or three full minutes to actually logon. that's a LONG time when you're sitting, waiting. what's the problem? | Guest (0) | ||
| 41345 | 2002-04-01 23:33:00 | In your Dialup Networking folder, rightclick the dialler instance and select properties. Select the 'Server Types' tab and uncheck 'Log on to Network'. Also uncheck NetBEUI and IPX/SPX, leaving only TCP/IP protocols. | Guest (0) | ||
