41300 2002-04-01 12:39:00 Hi everyone,
When I click the 'Search' button on my IE toolbar, it does bring up the left-hand side pane. However, it defaults to 'MSN' as the search engine, and even when I click 'customize' it still brings up only 'MSN' in the list. I do know for a fact that I have been able to customize this in the past and also select from a variety of search engines.
I'm running IE5.5SP2 on Win 98. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance !

41301 2002-04-01 18:29:00 You ned to go into 'tools', 'Internet options' and choose the 'languages' tab. Make sure that 'English (United States)' is the first language in the list.If it is not move it to the top or use the 'add' button to place it in the list. You should then be able to customise IE search.

41302 2002-04-02 03:13:00 Thanks Dave, that seemed to work on my computer at work. Will go home and give it a shot. How could that have suddenly happened though? I always had only 'English(N.Z.)' in there to start with!! Anyway, I don't know how on earth you figured that out, but it is very much appreciated !! Guest (0)
