| 41265 | 2002-04-01 07:29:00 | After setting up a database in Excel and formatting numbers and dates correctly I have gone to do a mail merge in Word. When the fields are merged the formatting is totally different to how it should be according to the excel database - Help - what could be cause this problem.this is a new computer with brand new software. I would be very grateful for any suggestions Thanks Cate |

| 41266 | 2002-04-02 00:15:00 | If you Copy your excel database and Paste it into a new Word document the excel formatting should be preserved. This could then be used as the merge data file. Maybe not the most efficient way of doing it, but it works for me. |
