41306 2002-04-01 15:15:00 Can anybody help me to find a good program that can help me download audio from my cassette and record players?
I have heard of 'Soundforge' and 'Total Recorder' which was ommitted from the April imag CD, despite being listed!
I know that one must connect to the soundcard to enable the audio to be recorded.
I have Adaptec CD-Writer installed, plus at least six other media programs.

Good luck

41308 2002-04-01 21:20:00 Hello Leigh,

Either Musicmatch, or Media jukebox will do the job nicely. Musicmatch is free, although I'm not sure if it normalises, something you might like to check out.

Media jukebox has a 30 day trial, which does pretty much anything, to do with music, although its editor is a bit small.

download from www.download.com

good luck,
Bob

41309 2002-04-03 11:22:00 I have found Audiotools to be one of the cheapest and most reliable for separating tracks. It is simple and straight forward and if required as a multitude of useful audio features. Not often I purchase shareware but Audiotools I can Highly recomend.
