| 41563 | 2002-04-03 09:24:00 | Sometimes when I reboot after installing new software or even just a normal restart, every thing just freezes, realy bizzare. If I shut the machine down completely and restart no problem, but if I use the restart option thats when the system hangs. I recently installed a new Phillips 107T monitor and this problem seems to have started since then, can anyone offer any suggestions? I am running Win XP Home on a clean install P111 733mhz machine with a 20 GB hard drive and 256MB of ram. Thanks Jim |

| 41565 | 2002-04-03 18:21:00 | I get the black startup screen with computer info on , then the white line (XP)goes accross the bottom of the sceen, then nothing. No XP Logo, no sound no nothing?? I have to then switch off and start again. The machine then goes into the safety/start from cd or start normally option. I choose the start normally and then it starts as you would expect. Everything seems to be working fine on my machine except for this really strange occurrence? |
