41553 2002-04-03 04:53:00 Does anybody know how to put an icon on your desktop to eject the cd-rom drive? I have a multimedia keyboard with eject buttons but they don't work correctly. Guest (0)
41554 2002-04-03 09:22:00 It should be possible to find the run command for 'eject' when you right click on the CD drive in My Computer, but this will take a bit of finding. In the meantime there is a program called open-cd.exe which can be downloaded and an icon made to that.
You can get it from this Spanish language site:

www.geocities.com

If you click on Descarga a package apli.zip will download, in it is open-cd.exe, also a joke virus program, maybe best to delete all except open-cd.
Cheers.

41555 2002-04-03 10:42:00 I know it is possible to open the CD-ROM drive with a line of code. I saw someone with it the other day.

There were a few emails going around a while back saying 'click here to get a free drink holder from Microsoft', sure enough click there and your CD-ROM drive opens.
