| 41743 | 2002-04-04 06:38:00 | First - Thanks Robo for a great page. Have learned heaps just reading the questions then following up the answers. I live in the country with telephone lines that have been around since the dinosaurs were lads, and I was wondering if there was some simple to use programme that would help me with downloads, picking up where I left off, when I get disconnected for the umpteenth time, that sort of thing. Thanks for any help, Iris |

| 41749 | 2002-04-04 11:12:00 | Try Download Express (www.metaproducts.com) It's free and it doesn't have any advertising banners or spyware. You must be using Internet Explorer to use it as it acts as a plugin. (200Kb in size) Has all the usual features + 4 (configurable) speed modes so you can have it downloading in the background without taking much bandwidth so as you can continue surfing at a reasonable speed. |
