| 41654 | 2002-04-03 21:14:00 | Hi 1) Is it possible that the settings in bios can change all by it self? I'm asking this because 2 days ago, when I boot up the computer in the morning the computer made a very strange noise and later when it was in bios it show 'system abnormal hardware detected'. When I took it to a computer technician, they said that my bios system have been changed or there's no way that the computer would be acting like that. The weird thing was that, the day before this happened the computer was running real smoothly and I haven't being in bios for a some times. I only go there to check my CPU temp and System temp and that's it and quite with out saving. So could any help me on this one, thanks. 2) Second question, does any one know what that White Paste is called and where I can buy it? The white paste that is usually put between the CPU and the fan. And just wondering, this white paste stops the CPU over heat, right? or cools down. So if any one could help me on any one of these question, I'll be really grateful, thanks alot. |
