Anyone mange to find a tv tuner card that works and is stable under Windows2000Professional or XP?

Would like to hear your experiences, I bought a LifeView card for my box about 6 months ago and took it back after a day. totally usless, depsite having 'windows2000 compatible' on the box, absolutely no joy from the manufacturer re drivers etc either.

Is this still the case?

41953 2002-04-05 07:48:00 Hi Zippy,

I only know about BT8x8 chipset based cards, which I believe the lifeview was. There is stable driver support available in 2 flavours:

sourceforge.net

and

www.iulab.com

I prefer Ivan Uskov's drivers as they seem to perform faster.

41954 2002-04-07 03:50:00 I put a lifeview in my w2k box about 3 months ago and have had little problem with it using the supplied software... In fact the NT/2k software is a hang of a lot more stable than the stuff they provided for 9x... I haven't watched much TV on it (bad reception with rabbit ears), so mostly use it for video capture.
it is based on the bt8x8 chip.
wonder why yours didn't work...?
