Have been trying different versions of Linux (present one Red hat 7.2) and this time I thought I would try Grub as the boot loader. A mistake as with Lilo you can uninstall it while restoring the previous MBR which is easier than getting 95 & 2000 booting properly again. Thought some of you might find this usefull. | Guest (0) | ||

Funny that FSF's GNU project has provided most of the tools for Linux, and they are only now getting close to a full 'Gnu's Not Unix' kernel. One fanatic/enthusiast will always get results quicker than a committee, but Linux really came along at the right time to take off. But GNU will be worth looking at --- the compilers are remarkably good. |
