41849 2002-04-04 12:06:00 I have Windows 95b on cd and want to load it onto a 486 laptop that does not have a CD Rom. Is it possible to copy the CD onto floppy disks? Guest (0)
41850 2002-04-04 13:08:00 Your best bet would be to get a laplink cable which would connect printer port to printer port and set up a direct cable connection and copy the files that way. It would not be pssible to copy via floppy as some files are 2,048,000 bytes long but you posibly could by zipping them spanning disks. Easier to get the cable. Guest (0)

Copy WIN95\*.* to a directory called WIN95 on the target machine. Then just type 'setup' in that directory and it's all go.

You want to keep that directory forever ... it lets you reinstall or change printers etc without repeating the performance of copying things.
