1295018 2012-08-16 01:03:00 I have a Windows upgrade kit to take an operating system from XP or Vista up to Windows 7 Home Premium.

I have used the software recently to put Win 7 onto a laptop and consequently, the serial umber
sticker is afixed to the laptop.

As I still have the upgrade media, is it possible to legally purchase a Window 7 sticker, as I now need to
upgrade a Vista desktop to Windows 7.

Would Microsoft sell me the sticker or could I purchase one from a defunct computer ?

1295021 2012-08-16 04:49:00 Windows 7 iso's can be obtained easily online, because of netbooks and computers with no optical drive. The only thing of value when you buy windows is the cd key. icow (15313)

Microsoft Wont sell you another Key, as its been mentioned you'll have to buy another copy.

As from a defunct Computer - generally they are OEM which legally means the key dies with the PC - UNLESS its a retail COA, then it can be transfered.
