| 1294959 | 2012-08-15 06:02:00 | I have Farmside (IPSTAR) satellite connection to the standard LAN IPSTAR modem and would like to connect this modem to a wireless router for local (two laptops and a tablet) wireless reception. I currently have the laptops connected through a D-Link multi-port RJ45 connection setup from the modem. Can I connect a wireless router direct to the current modem and disconnect the hard wiring now being used on the laptops? In other words, does a wireless router normally accept the RJ45 from the modem? If possible, what sort of wireless router would be acceptable (without breaking the bank)? Cheers |

| 1294962 | 2012-08-16 01:28:00 | I have read a few manuals on some routers and they state that specific routers shouldn't be used behind a satellite router. Any comments? | garyasta (1151) | ||
