| 1294563 | 2012-08-14 00:03:00 | This is not really a big issue, but I would dearly love to find a solution to this one. Anyone who can solve it will have my undying gratitude! I use several different custom templates, and when I opened a New document my next choice used to be a window containing all the templates I'd stored. Recently I've had to re-install both Office 2010 and Word 7 Professional. Naturally I saved important things (such as the templates folder) and copied them into the new system after re-installation. Now when I open a new document I first have to select My Templates to open exactly the same window that used to open straight away. How can I change things so that New Document defaults directly to the My Templates folder? My good friend Mr Google hasn't been able to help me. |

You should be able to download the Office 2010 GPO from MS, and edit your Word settings using the group policy editor. | FAB (6923)

I'm sure I never used to have this problem, it's only since I re-installed. But it's the same installation - I figured I must have altered a setting originally and just forgotten what it was. | colmack (2939)
