| 1270729 | 2012-04-18 06:47:00 | I am always on the lookout for free computers and hardware people are chucking out. I was wondering if you people know any good places where they might be throwing out old computers. I don't expect anything fancy though :badpc:. Any ideas would be appreciated. | ChazTheGeek (16619) | ||

If your customers are charity or non profit organisations, it may still be possible to get one through the council, they replace theirs about every 2-3 years and give all their 'old' ones away (mostly mid-spec dual core Dells with 17" LCD screens at the moment). I dont know what they have been giving away since the quakes though but before that, I was setting up quite a few for various organisations. Or are you looking for parts, etc you can assemble into something and sell off? | Iantech (16386) | ||
| 1270736 | 2012-04-18 14:33:00 | You could have some of mine if you were in welly, for anyone interested the "box o crap" will be on offer in wellington again shortly. Adding some IDE HDD's to the pile as well as some CD drives amongst other things | The Error Guy (14052) | ||
| 1270737 | 2012-04-18 21:42:00 | You never know when a box o crap will come in handy. I had to trawl through my own box o crap last night to replace my CPU fan that developed a crack (which made it unbalanced, which in turn produced a horrible noise) | Greven (91) | ||
