| 1294635 | 2012-08-19 04:28:00 | sorry for the delay browsing the printer IP, it eventually times out im not sure the printer has ethernet, but will check Warnox: the port number is the same as the printer IP as in your example but why is your protocol set to LPR?, mine is set to Raw |

| 1294636 | 2012-08-19 05:07:00 | in the router DHCP table, it shows the IP of the printer to have expired. I think that may be telling you something. |

| 1294639 | 2012-08-19 07:55:00 | If it's a network printer why is the desktop via USB? Unless it needs to be USB for some reason wouldn't it be better to have the desktop print over network like everything else? The lease expired means exactly that, the time for that IP is up. Change the lease time in the routers settings. If you can, set the printer to DHCP and have the router DHCP a static IP to the printer. Cant remember what the setting is called on routers, reserved IP's perhaps? What's the router model? It's how I have it set up here. Reserve IP's for Home machines and a dynamic DHCP pool for other clients. It means that clients always have the same IP but if I take my phone/laptop elsewhere it will still use the correct IP from other routers. |
