1295116 2012-08-16 22:59:00 I have just installed an additional internal HDD and did a system backup using windows 7, is it ok to partition the hardrive or should i format and then partition, then backup? PeterQ (16315)

For example if you have a 1TB main drive, then try to put a recovery back on a 500GB drive it wont do it as the back up will complain theres not enough room, regardless of the amount of data on the drive. If its the other way around, the drive is larger - no problems.

1295118 2012-08-17 00:18:00 Thanks, i was mainly concerned with partitioning after i had made a system backup to the 1TB drive, ithought it may interfere with a system restore later PeterQ (16315)
