2012-08-14 15:59:00 | I went and bought a 55 inch TV with 240 Hz so I get a real nice clear picture on TV, Netflix, and Amazon so now I want to hook up a HD15 (SVGA) Male + 3.5 Stereo Male / HD15 (SVGA) Male + 3.5 Stereo Male, D / Shield, 15 ft. I have a AMD 955 Quad CPU at 3.2 Ghz. What would be a good video card so I can see all the pictures and video I took with my camera on my new TV?

2012-08-14 19:06:00 | Im slightly confused by what you want... Most tvs support usb nowadays and you could use that, if your talking about hooking the tv to the pc then as long as your gpu supports 1080i it should look fine. And just an fyi, the cpu's specs dont matter in this case but the gpu's specs would be usefull unless your using integrated? | Slankydudl (16687) | |
2012-08-14 20:09:00 | For what you want almost any current graphics card should work, have you tried it with whatever you currently have? Something like a HD6450 is a good choice for home theatre duties and should work for what you want, I prefer to use HDMI over VGA myself

2012-08-14 23:09:00 | What the two above said. Why use VGA + audio cable when you can run HDMI with sound passed through the same cable. | psycik (12851) | |
2012-08-14 23:16:00 | Will you be using a second screen for the computer and the TV or just the TV as your main monitor? | Nerdtastic (16693) | |
2012-08-14 23:19:00 | Like Skulldandy I'm a bit confused Apart from using USB, Netflix via internet streaming suggests a local network or the possibility of one. Why not connect the computer to that network and access its folders via the TV remote

2012-08-14 23:34:00 | Hook up the computer next to the TV with a screen, next hook up the TV to the computer as a second screen Then watch youtube in 50 inch HD while surfing the web!

2012-08-15 10:39:00 | "skulldandy" lol thats an interesting take :P and if you dotn feel liek buyign a new gpu for hdmi then vga with audio cable will look fine and will easily run on your gpu as i believe it is to do with the resolution and not the actual screen size as the screen size doesnt neccesarily change the amount of data.
