2012-08-13 03:51:00 | For the past month or so I've experienced problems with Chrome taking a long time to load with the small top left hand "loading" icon greyed out and moving anti clockwise but if I hit enter it reverts back to normal - same thing happens with different webpages. Yahoo freezes as soon as it loads as well as the Herald webpage. Links in emails to You Tube only produce audio and I now also have a search engine called Ask loading sporadically, especially when I hit the home button in Chrome. The Ask toolbar shows up in the browser list in the options drop down in Chrome but not in IE and I'm unable to delete it and it doesn't show in the un-install menu in the control panel. I've had a look on the Google forum pages and these problems seem to be occurring all over the world but no one seems to have a solution for it. I've run malware, spyware and anti virus checks but nothing shows up so I'm hoping someone here can supply a successful resolution. I'm using Win 7 Ultimate and am happy with Chrome and don't really want to change browsers. | tophook (10328) | |
2012-08-13 04:20:00 | ASkbar shows up in the unistall list if you use Ccleaner. It's a stealth install usually installed when you install something else and just keep clicking the next button and not really paying attention to what your saying yes to. | gary67 (56) | |

2012-08-13 05:24:00 | If it is it would be under tools-uninstall and not on just doing a scan | gary67 (56) | |
2012-08-13 05:24:00 | Did that, doesn't even show in the Extensions menu. I'm really at a loss now as it's showing anywhere lol! | tophook (10328) | |
2012-08-13 05:39:00 | Download revo_uninstaller_portable (portableapps.com). Run the exe file, it will create a folder at the same location you run it from ( wont install it) once its run and loaded all programs, select Askbar, click uninstall button, select bottom option (Advanced) click next, follow through removing the folders, reg keys etc. reboot when its finished. DONT reboot if it asks before hand other wise you wont get the reg keys.

2012-08-13 05:56:00 | Did that this morning, same as for the Window un-install, doesn't show in either of them or the Extension folder in Google. | tophook (10328) | |
