1473379	2020-12-05 00:57:00	Over the years we have been to many motels. A decade or two ago, we regularly washed our dishes, but then discovered that dish-washing is included. So, we didn't always wash our dishes, leaving mainly our breakfast ones. However, a week or two ago, we stayed at a Rotorua motel paying quite a bit more than our usual, particularly as this time we had two of our grandchildren with us. The first morning we set out leaving our breakfast dishes, but returned to find some housework had been done, but not the dishes. Next day the same. Am wondering, is there change happening here or just one motel. Maybe they are cutting costs because of covid, or maybe Rotorua is different. Be interested to hear of any of your experiences and thoughts?	Misty (368)
1473380	2020-12-05 02:41:00	Is there a sink? Is there dishwash liquid? Then you wash them. I've always done it, and always thought it was the thing...hotels you do nothing, motels, you do your own washing, and dishes and if you choose not to eat out, cook.	piroska (17583)
1473381	2020-12-05 04:02:00	You will find most Motels will do your dishes if you ask, but there will be a fee. Some won’t even supply linen, you get that somewhere else. :stare: Pays to shop around, the cheapest on the surface doesn’t always turn out to be in the end. ;)	B.M. (505)
1473382	2020-12-05 06:26:00	but then discovered that dish-washing is included. Never heard of that, BUT if it's advertised then they should do it, regardless how of things 'used to be done'.	allblack (6574)
1473383	2020-12-07 02:12:00	We have got our Motels back, wahoo!!!. Only time we left dishes to clean, was on booking out and we stayed in a lot of motels over the years. Infrastructure is also back in our hands, so watch those b-n-b places, they will still expect tourist payments as well.	Lurking (218)
