| 1467693 | 2020-03-28 09:09:00 | Hi, I'm trying to sort out a water cooler for my cpu and I'm wondering weather the mother board has enough connections for it to work the mother board is a asus prime h310m-a r2.0 and the cpu cooler I would like to use is 360mm Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML360R but if this won't then I would like suggest for ones that could. | 1467695 | 2020-03-29 01:09:00 | That's not a bad unit, but given you're running an H310M it may be overkill (What CPU are you running?) Your board only has 2 fan headers, 1 x CPU and 1 x chassis. From what I can tell this unit doesn't have its pump powered by SATA power. The pump will be powered by the CPU fan header and fans look to be powered via a single 3-way splitter which you will need to plug into the chassis fan header. You can see the package contents in this video here (www.youtube.com) You are probably better off with a 240mm unit (and I'd recommend one which is powered by a SATA plug). Ideally you want at least 1 rear fan exhausting the warm air out of your case. For reference, I have a 8700K OC'd to 5.0GHz (on an Asus Z-370 PRIME mobo) cooled by a Corsair H100x which is a 240 unit. My temperatures range from 28 (idle) to 50-55 degs (when gaming). I have 3 x ML120s in the front 2 of which cool the RAD and then 2 x ML 140s at the top and LL120 in the rear - these 3 are exhausts. HTH |

I think you are right it might be over kill and probably best to get something smaller. the Idea was originally started with putting more fans in the front of my case (upgrading from 1 to 3 in the front) and saw that but then I got think of how it was going to work. Having a look around it looks like the NZXT Kraken X52 is powered by sata so I might look at that then |
