| 1467410 | 2020-03-15 19:46:00 | Is there anyway to have a password for a desktop shortcut in W10 when don’t want to lock the who screen? Thanks In Short NO! not on its own anyway, unless you create the options ( meaning Scripts) usually you would need some sort of third party program. You could use the encryption feature which is only available in Windows 10 Pro. BUT there's not enough information -- What type of shortcut ?? Is it to a Program Folder / File, Website ?? |

| 1467413 | 2020-03-15 21:12:00 | Sorry - should have said. It’s for a banking web site. Thanks Thats different. its dangerous saving log in details for a bank anyway. Years ago browsers wouldn't allow you to save bank passwords, these days they do. What you can do is go into the Browser settings and remove the entry, then it will prompt you each time to enter an account number & password. Depending on the browser will depend on where they are located & easy enough to remove. Reply back which Browser and someone will help. |

| 1467415 | 2020-03-16 03:10:00 | Chrome is browser. Are there any settings in there to lock it?! Thanks Sweet as :) Open Chrome, Click three Virtual Dot top Right hand Corner. Settings- privacy and security - Autofill - Passwords 10244 Locate the bank details click on the 3 dots beside the entry just to the right - Remove. Auto log in is now gone. Next time you log in the bank make sure you don't click save - instead click NEVER or ignore the prompt. |
