I was looking at a Brother DCP1610W which is compact, but I don't like the idea of an open paper tray . To overcome this it looks like the next alternative is a much larger printer with appears to be overkill . There doesn't appear to be anythings in between . Some of the comments I have read about the DCP1610W poor performance don't inspire confidence either . Any help would be appreciated . |

Its appearance seems identical to the HL-2270DW I have been using for years, paper storage is in a drawer in the base.
